Job Description
Are you an experienced early years or education practitioner looking for a new challenge? Are you an existing or aspiring teacher looking for a role where you can make an impact on the next generation of early years and education professionals? Then this could be the role for you.
Due to continued growth in student numbers in our Early Years and Education provision we are recruiting for additional Lecturers to join our team. At CWA we offer a range of full‑time or part‑time courses, delivered in the daytime and over some evenings. Our alumni include nursery practitioners, teaching assistants and teachers, either through full‑time courses or by working with local schools to upskill their existing staff. Our staff teach courses from entry level to Levels 1, 2, T‑Levels and degree‑level in Early Childhood Studies, Early Years Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Assisting Teaching and Supporting Teaching and Learning. We work in partnership with Anglia Ruskin University and are proud of our highly skilled team and the impact that our work has on our local communities.
Our lecturing staff also act as course directors, meaning that you have the ability to influence the delivery of your teaching in line with curriculum requirements.
The Early Years teaching team benefits from on‑site practice nursery rooms with top‑of‑the‑range equipment, craft rooms, IT suites, well‑stocked learning resource centres, dedicated Early Years teaching rooms in the Tower Block and the University Centre, and access to the College’s on‑site working nursery Applewood. We are continually investing in our facilities and resources, and during the last few years we have invested in excess of £10 million into our Tower Block alone.
The successful postholders will need to be able to work at both the Kings Lynn and Wisbech campuses (full days at each campus). We pride ourselves on our approach to the work‑life balance of our team and actively support job share and flexible working opportunities.
Please note that your point on the salary scale will be determined based on both experience and teaching qualifications. Appointments will not normally be made at point 12 or above (£37,454 FTE) without a level 5 teaching qualification and experience.
