NHS Scotland is committed to encouraging equality and diversity among our workforce and eliminating unlawful discrimination. The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best. To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.
We are looking for an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our MFE Team. We also consider supporting trainees who have begun their journey to become an ANP and have completed their clinical assessment and non-medical prescribing modules.
Preferred applicants will have experience working at an advanced level with frail, elderly patients, with the ability to make professional, autonomous clinical decisions through history taking, physical examination, and problem solving. The role involves autonomous working, supported by Lead Advanced Nurse Practitioners and Clinical Nurse Manager, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
You will assess, diagnose, and manage older people within our assessment and rehabilitation wards at RVH. You will work closely with patients, families, carers, and the multidisciplinary team to identify clinical issues quickly, supporting avoidable deterioration, effective rehabilitation, and discharge.
You will collaborate with the Discharge Hub to facilitate timely discharge and smooth, person-centered transitions of care.
You will act as a clinical leader, working with the MDT, and will play a key role in the leadership and development of advanced nursing practice within Dundee. You will participate in delivering specialist education and training programs and collaborate with health and social care colleagues to provide high-quality, evidence-based care.
You will also enhance patient experience, ensure clinical governance, and support the Lead Advanced Nurse Practitioner and Senior Leadership Team in service improvement and development.
We offer the opportunity to work with a dynamic Health & Social Care Partnership. Successful applicants will be supported to develop and demonstrate advanced practice to improve health and social care outcomes for Dundee's population.
