You will become the person who understands how LLMs surface information, how AI search tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews decide what to recommend – and you build a content engine designed to win in that world. You'll learn FCA‑compliant writing, GEO from the ground up, and how a high‑performing marketing team runs inside a fast‑growing fintech.
What You’ll Do
* Plan and execute a content calendar around questions people ask when consolidating debt or taking a loan – structured for both human readers and AI citation.
* Create a structured content library on debt consolidation and personal loans.
* Monitor what shows up and where for Updraft across AI search tools. Spot gaps and fix them.
* Maintain a pulse on the competitive landscape and ensure Updraft's mentions continue to grow, assessing that content positioning reflects market realities.
* Work with credit, product and customer teams to bring real expertise into content; what makes our writing credible is that it reflects what we actually know.
* Support product launches and our social content creation team with insights on topics and trends that complement both GEO and social search.
Requirements
* Real interest in how AI search and LLMs work. You have asked ChatGPT about a product and noticed what it recommends and what it leaves out.
* Strong writing. You explain clearly in 100 words what others take 300 to say.
* Comfort using ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude as part of how you work.
* An organised mind. You’ll run a content calendar without being chased.
* Willingness to listen. The best content comes from understanding the product and the people who use it.
* Interest in fintech or helping people with money. Direct experience not needed.
Nice to Have
* A degree in marketing, English, journalism or similar. Any background works if the thinking is there.
* Experience with SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog) or analytics (GA4, Search Console).
* A blog, portfolio or writing samples.
* Familiarity with AI Overviews, featured snippets and how LLMs pick sources.
Benefits
* Annual salary £28,000 – £30,000
* Private medical and dental insurance
* Life insurance
* Company pension
* 25 days annual leave + UK bank holidays
* Hybrid working – London
* Financial wellbeing support via Mintago
You'll thrive here if you like figuring out how things work, care about writing that helps people, and want to build expertise in a discipline that barely existed a year ago.
