Job Summary
To efficiently manage the field operations including controlling sub-contractors' day-to-day operations and ensuring that material supplies are available in conjunction with the Site Manager. Assist the Site Manager in planning and programming site activities, ensuring the work is completed safely. Deputise for the Site Manager where necessary and manage quality standards to meet customer expectations.
Primary Responsibilities
1. Organisation and control of labour and sub-contractors
2. Completion of weekly planning sheets to ensure the overall build programme is met
3. Provide direction to individual contractors and manage contract management to ensure quality standards are met
4. Coordinate with the Site Manager to ensure the availability of materials to meet the construction programme
Health and Safety
* Ensure all site personnel comply with the Construction Health and Safety Regulations 1974 as amended, together with the Taylor Wimpey Health and Safety Procedures Manual
* Carry out frequent inspections of all operations to ensure they are carried out safely
* Ensure all operatives work according to method statements and risk assessments submitted by relevant sub-contractors or management
* Comply with site-specific environmental action plan requirements
Customer and Site Management
* Liaise daily with the Sales Executive regarding customer options and variations
* Coordinate with Sales, Buying Department, and sub-contractors regarding customer choices
* Plan and arrange visits for inspections by the House Builders Council and Local Authority
* Assist in completing Home Quality Inspections and ensure houses are defect-free, clean, and ready for occupation at legal completion
* Conduct regular inspections during the build process and complete snagging lists
* Ensure contractors work according to drawings, specifications, and scope of works
Experience, Qualifications, and Technical Requirements
* Trade background
* NVQ Residential Construction Site Supervision L4
* Detailed knowledge of building processes, NHBC, and Building Regulations
* First aid qualified
* CSCS card holder at Manager/Supervisor level
