Pay rate – £33.12 per hour Contract – Temporary Rotherham MB Council are currently recruiting an experienced adult’s Social Worker for their Preparing for Adulthood/Transitions team. Full-time hours, three-month assignment with a view to extend. Working with young people moving from children to adult services, supporting positive outcomes and independence through person-centred planning. You must have a strong background in adult social care and be confident in applying relevant legislation and frameworks, including Mental Capacity Assessments (MCAs), Best Interest Decisions (BIDs), safeguarding processes, and court work. Proven experience managing complex cases and working collaboratively with multi-agency partners is essential. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent assessment, care planning, and risk management skills, with the ability to work at pace in a busy environment. LAS knowledge is essential, as you will be expected to hit the ground running with case recording and system navigation. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled practitioner who is confident, organised, and committed to delivering high-quality outcomes for young people transitioning into adulthood. Children’s Social Workers will need at least 3 years’ permanent experience with an English local authority and to be registered with Social Work England, as per DfE rules.
