The Obstetrics and Gynaecology department within University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the top London hospitals for training. This is a busy but very friendly tertiary level unit dealing with a wide range of conditions. Although the post is not recognised by the Royal College of Gynaecologists as a training post, we offer excellent educational opportunities. The successful applicant will be allocated an educational supervisor and a firm for clinical exposure to our sub‑specialty services.
The department is housed in a state‑of‑the‑art facility in the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson wing of UCLH.
The successful candidate will join the existing strong Obstetrics and Gynaecology medical team, with an international reputation in excellent care and research. They will be fully supported by a thriving and friendly department and will be encouraged to take forward academic development.
Person Specification
Knowledge and Qualifications
* MBBS or equivalent
* Full GMC Registration. Non‑UK trained doctors must be on the GMC register by date of appointment.
* MRCOG Part 1 or equivalent
* Knowledge and a good understanding of Obstetrics & Gynaecology
* Research training
Experience
* Postgraduate experience in Obstetrics & Gynaecology
* Experience of working within the NHS
Communication
* Good general clinical and communication skills
Personal and People Development
* Highly motivated
* Commitment to speciality and learning
