Job Description
We are seeking a new project driven Finance Manager for a charitable organisation in Chelmsford to work closely with the Director of Finance and fellow senior management team. This role involves ensuring timely monthly reporting, supporting planning, reporting, and analysis for all subsidiaries, and handling complex accounting transactions.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
* Support the Finance Director in implementing the Diocesan financial strategy and change programs.
* Monitor individual project budgets, ensuring cost control and value for money.
* Analyse financial data and provide accurate forecasting to support decision-making and strategic planning.
* Develop and implement financial tracking and reporting tools.
* Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial models for all projects.
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
* Review and improve financial processes and controls across departments.
* Support the implementation and optimisation of financial systems
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
* Significant proven experience in financial project management or business transformation.
* Experience of preparing budgets and forecasts.
* Strong analytical and technical finance skills, including experience of analysing project performance.
* Experience of initiating and implementing improvements to financial processes and controls.
* Experience in the charity or not for profit sector would be advantageous
