Shift Details: 2 x 21 hour contracts

About the role
Your focus as a Care Assistant will be to deliver high standards of personal care, and to contribute fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents.
Other responsibilities
* Assisting residents in all personal hygiene care, ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect at all times.
* Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas in residents (e.g., weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, signs of infections) and escalating identified risks in a timely manner.
* Acting courteously towards residents and visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
* Practising safe systems of work across the range of tasks.

* Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
* Demonstrates initiative and respect towards residents and other people in the home.
* Efficient worker able to carry reasonable instructions from other team members.
* Adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

* No prior experience is required, as Avery Healthcare offers a thorough induction and training program to ensure confidence within the role. The ideal candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively, demonstrate initiative and respect towards residents and other people in the home, be an efficient worker who can carry reasonable instructions, and be adaptable and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
