Main duties of the job
Skills
* Work as part of a team providing high-quality housekeeping services to patients, consultants, and staff.
* Complete all required cleaning tasks, including washing, vacuuming, cleaning, polishing, dusting, and sweeping.
* Ensure all hospital areas are maintained to a high standard for patients and visitors.
* Work flexibly within the housekeeping department across various duties to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
* Identify potential hazards and act upon them effectively, working independently following policies and procedures.

Main purpose of the role:
To maintain a safe and healthy environment by delivering cleaning, catering, and minor maintenance services, along with other specified tasks to meet staff and patient needs.
Main duties and responsibilities:
* Perform cleaning tasks efficiently and to a high standard in bedrooms, bathrooms, offices, and communal areas as directed.
* Carry out daily and weekly cleaning duties within set timescales.
* Replenish supplies such as towels, toilet rolls, and soap as needed.
* Operate mechanical equipment like floor cleaning machines, steam cleaners, and vacuum systems safely.
* Report any building defects or faults to maintain safety.
* Maintain and replenish stock, ensuring equipment is clean and well-maintained.
* Store cleaning products and chemicals securely, following safety guidelines.
* Manage waste effectively, ensuring segregation and correct disposal.
