Overview
As the School enters an exciting new phase under its five-year strategic plan, we are looking for a talented and strategic Alumni Events Manager to coordinate the design and delivery of an ambitious global events programme. Reporting to the Associate Director of Alumni and Supporter Engagement, you will manage a small, high-performing team and work collaboratively across the School and University to create innovative, impactful experiences that strengthen alumni connections, enhance donor relationships and celebrate the School's impact.
Develop and deliver a high-quality, strategic calendar of alumni and donor events (in-person, hybrid and online) in the UK and internationally. Provide leadership to a small events team, setting clear objectives and fostering a collaborative, creative and high-performance culture. Oversee all aspects of event management - from concept and budget planning to guest communications, logistics and post-event evaluation. Manage supplier contracts, budgets and reporting to ensure value for money and compliance with University policies. Analyse data and feedback to continuously improve the events strategy and measure engagement impact.
Qualifications
You will have substantial experience in designing and managing complex, high-profile events involving diverse stakeholders, ideally within a higher education or advancement context. You will demonstrate strong strategic thinking, leadership and team management skills, alongside excellent judgement, communication and relationship-building abilities. Highly organised and detail-oriented, you will be adept at managing multiple priorities, complex budgets and using CRM and event management systems.
