Personal Assistant Required – Coverack Area A happy and energetic 13 year old girl with Down Syndrome and Learning Difficulties is looking for a Personal Assistant to provide support within the community and at home. She enjoys musical films, dancing, trips to the woods, local parks, football, and general ball games. Role Responsibilities: • Support her to develop communication and social skills • Promote safety awareness and understanding • Encourage participation in enjoyable activities in the community • Provide consistent, patient, and positive support tailored to her needs Requirements: • An understanding of PICA would be beneficial • Own transport is essential, with business class motor insurance • Mileage is paid at 45p per mile when the child is in the car • A supportive, engaging, and reliable approach Hours & Pay: • 4 hours per week • Some weekend work, school holidays, and occasional after school hours • £13.45 per hour The successful applicant will be employed under a private arrangement with the family and not be employed or carry out work for Cornwall Council.
