About the Role One of my local government clients is seeking an experienced and proactive Executive Support Manager to provide high-impact support to our Executive Director for Environment & Communities and the Departmental Management Team (DMT). In this high-profile role, you will lead the executive office, manage a PA network, and drive key cross-cutting projects that align with our strategic objectives. You’ll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring a seamless, professional and responsive service to senior stakeholders. Key Responsibilities * Lead the Executive Office, acting as Executive Assistant to the Executive Director. * Draft high-quality correspondence, briefings, and reports for senior officers and Members. * Line-manage a team of 2–4 PAs, ensuring performance, development, and wellbeing. * Coordinate senior meetings: Cabinet Members, budget holders, cross-departmental groups. * Oversee corporate reporting including Cabinet and Scrutiny submissions. * Represent the Executive Director/DMT at senior meetings where required. * Deliver cross-departmental projects from planning to implementation. * Manage the Executive Director’s Office budget and ensure compliance with financial procedures. About You We are looking for a highly motivated professional with: * Proven experience delivering change and leading complex projects. * Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. * Strong leadership skills with a focus on performance and integrity. * Political awareness and a collaborative, customer-focused approach. * Confident use of Microsoft Office and other digital tools. * Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in Business Administration or Executive Support.
