Senior Works Coordinator

Lead the Delivery of High-Impact Highway Projects
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to lead our Construction Support Team, managing the end-to-end delivery of the highways capital programme. This includes all works falling under the Construction remit.
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing, planning, programming, and coordinating all construction-related activities and any additional workstreams assigned to the team. Your focus will be on ensuring that all deliverables are met — or exceeded — to support the successful delivery of key infrastructure projects.
The Role
•Lead and coordinate weekly/monthly meetings with all parties to ensure suitable forward programmes are maintained and updated at all times.
•Working closely with all managers, supervisors and other teams in the development, update and maintain forward programmes and resource profiles for all planned activities
•Directly line manage Technicians and Business Support staff, plus delegate tasks and ensure they are delivered and returned within agreed timescales
•Liaise with extended managers, Supervisors and Partners to ensure that sufficient resource is available to complete works within required timescales
•Liaise with the Permit Application team to ensure that permits are raised, amended and closed as required
About You
•IT skills to include MS Office, MS Project, Confirm or similar
•Extensive experience of working in highway maintenance and/or with an asset management system but not necessary as training will be provided.
•Demonstrate thorough working knowledge of health and safety legislation and codes of practice
•Have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work across teams and collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
•Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with key people both internally and externally including internal teams and client
