Join the Pentillie Front of House Team | Flexible Hours
We are looking for an organised, enthusiastic, and team-oriented individual to join our Front of House team at Pentillie Castle. This role is perfect for someone with previous hospitality experience who enjoys working as part of a team to create outstanding guest experiences.
About the Role:
Shifts typically last between 4-12 hours, varying from one to 4 shifts per week, and availability to work midweek and weekends is essential.
Typical hours per week vary by season:
* Summer: 1-2 shifts per week (4-6 hours per shift)
* Winter: 3-4 shifts per week (4-6 hours per shift)
While the role can be physically demanding, it is also incredibly rewarding - especially when we receive glowing feedback from guests
About Pentillie Castle:
Pentillie is a family owned country house set on a private estate along the Cornish banks of the River Tamar, just 20 minutes from Plymouth. As a multi award-winning exclusive use venue, we host a wide range of events including weddings, private stays and corporate retreats.

* Provide a warm, professional welcome to guests and visitors
* Support the Front of House team
* Assist with the setup and breakdown of events, weddings, and private stays
* Ensure service areas are clean, well-presented, and guest-ready at all times
* Participate in dinner service and guest-facing roles with professionalism and efficiency
* Report maintenance issues or hazards promptly
* Work collaboratively with all departments to ensure seamless service delivery
* Follow service procedures and standards consistently
* Be responsive, adaptable, and positive in a fast-paced environment
Requirements:
* Previous Front of House or hospitality experience required
* Strong communication skills
* Time management skills
* Ability to take instruction and work well as part of a team
* Professional, guest-focused attitude with great attention to detail
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and events as needed
* Wine knowledge preferred
