As part of our ongoing growth plans, Adored Care's looking for a Team Leader to join our expanding residential care team. You'll play a crucial role in supporting our Morecambe-based children's home, working closely with the Deputy and Registered Manager to lead with excellence and empathy.
As well as offering a competitive hourly rate of £14.56, you'll get all the support you need from our Registered Manager to develop your leadership skills in a progressive, supportive residential environment.

About Our Home
We're proud of the EBD (Emotional Behavioural Difficulties) home we've created in the seaside town of Morecambe.
Our detached residential house on a quiet street's been designed to be as homely as possible. It's been recently redecorated with the input of our staff team and even features a massive trampoline in the back garden. We're only a short walk from the beach, Toby Carvery, and the best pie shop in the area.
We've a full residential care team currently being trained and we're looking for a Team Leader to join us as we prepare to reopen at the end of March.
The Role: What you'll be doing
In this role, you'll act as a vital bridge between the care team and management. You'll take on significant responsibilities, acting as the lead on shift and ensuring the home runs smoothly and safely.
Your day-to-day will involve:
* Key Working: Acting as a dedicated Key Worker for a child, building a deep, trusting relationship and advocating for their best interests.
* Care & Risk Planning: Taking an active role in care planning and risk management, ensuring every childs needs are met with precision and care.
* Shift Leadership: Leading the residential care team on shift, ensuring the highest standards of care're consistently maintained.
* Mentorship: Supporting and guiding newer staff members, sharing your knowledge and helping them grow in their roles.
* Deputising: Taking the lead during weekend shifts or in the absence of the Deputy Manager, ensuring continuity of care and regulatory compliance.
Due to the nature of the role, you'll need to be flexible, covering regular sleeping nights and participating in an on-call rota to support the team during emergencies.
Your Experience and Qualifications
Essential:
* Who you are: You're energetic, fun, and bring a high level of integrity to everything you do. You're someone who genuinely likes a challenge and is passionate about developing others.
* Approach: Youve a proven ability to set firm and fair boundaries, creating a safe and structured environment for our young people.
* Background: Proven experience within a residential childrens care setting, ideally at a Senior level. You're knowledgeable about the daily realities of residential care and ready for the responsibility of leading shifts.
* Qualifications: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
* Life Experience: We value lived experiences. If you have a personal understanding of the challenges our young people face, your insight will be incredibly powerful here.
* Logistics: A full UK Driving Licence and flexibility to work the 2 on, 4 off shift pattern.
Desirable:
A willingness to work towards your Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare with our support.
