We are seeking to recruit a Research and Innovation Associate (postdoctoral researcher) to work on the ESRC-funded project 'Who is a child? Determining age in British and French border policing, 1918 to the present' led by Dr Antoine Burgard (PL), senior lecturer in contemporary history of humanitarianism at the Humanitarian and Conflict Response Institute (HCRI), University of Manchester.
The post holder (RIA) is expected to start on 1 June 2026 (or as soon as possible thereafter). They will collaborate with the PL on the data collection, research and dissemination of one of the project's case studies. In addition to the PL's support, they will benefit from the mentorship of HCRI colleagues and from the training and resources of the University of Manchester.
