Salary: £26,000-£28,600

As the IT Technician, you will provide 1st line support to users, look after IT equipment, install, order and maintain software/hardware and provide technical support.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Resolving IT issues reported through the service desk ticketing system
2. Assisting in the maintenance and monitoring of the organisation’s network infrastructure
3. Installing new software and upgrading existing applications
4. Providing technical support to end users across the organisation
5. Running diagnostics and troubleshooting hardware/software problems
6. Maintaining hardware peripherals ( printers, external drives, visualisers)
7. Ensuring systems are secure andpliant with relevant safety and data protection standards
8. Supporting users through training and guidance on IT systems and tools
Key Requirements:

11. Possess knowledge of operating systems, networking, hardware, andmonly used software
12. Exhibit strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
13. Have good organisational skills and attention to detail
14. Be able to explain technical issues and solutions clearly to non-technical users
15. Capable of prioritising tasks, working under pressure, and meeting deadlines
16. Take a patient and methodical approach to troubleshooting and support
17. Able to work independently as well as part of a team
18. Maintain an awareness of health, safety, and data protection standards
Travel between locations in Bury St. Edmunds will be required. They have a travel claims policy to ensure you are supported in the travel requirements of the role.
A Full Enhanced DBS check will also be required for the successful candidate.
