Blakeney Surgery (part of GDOC LTD) has a vacancy for a part-time dispenser to join our friendly and experienced dispensary team. The dispensary is an integral part of the pharmacy team (including Pharmacist and Pharmacy Technician) and the wider practice team at Blakeney. Our focus is to ensure medicines are dispensed safely and promptly, maintaining high service standards for patients, doctors, nurses, and staff.

Main duties of the job
Dispensary Duties:
* Ensure dispensing procedures adhere to Practice Standard Operating Procedures.
* Participate in weekly monitored dose system orders (where applicable).
* Hand out prescriptions and dispensed items, and collect payments where appropriate.
* Handle queries related to prescriptions.
* Ensure outstanding queries are explained and handed over to the next shift.
* Undertake DRUMs as required.
* Respond to requests from clinical members during surgery.
* Deal with drug alerts promptly.

Job responsibilities

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Minimum NVQ Level 2 in dispensing.
* Good literacy and numeracy skills.
Experience
* Experience as a qualified dispenser.
* Primary care or GP practice experience preferred.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office and SystmOne.
