We are recruiting Administrative Officers to support the delivery of vital servicesacross the Ministry of Defence. These roles are ideal for individuals starting theircareers in the Civil Service or seeking an entry‑level administrative position in a largepublic organisation.
Administrative Officers provide essential support to operational teams by managinginformation, processing cases, and ensuring services run smoothly.
Key responsibilities
* Managing shared inboxes and responding to enquiries
* Maintaining accurate records and updating databases
* Supporting teams with administrative tasks and documentation
* Handling correspondence and basic casework
* Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver services efficiently, utilising all communication methods (face‑to‑face, email, phone).
* File management and data entry, ensuring records are accurate, updated in a timelymanner and in line with policy and GPDR.
* Conduct general administration duties on matter relating to your role and providesupport to ATC (P).
* Conduct relevant quality assurance checks.
* Conduct pay duties as delegated; cash handling, BACS repayments, bank account support.
* Provide advice and guidance to recruits and or permanent staff on matters relatingto your role.
* Any other task commensurate with the role and grade as directed by the LineManager or Chain of Command.
