The shift pattern for this post is: Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:00 (18.5hrs) To be discussed a interview.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent full-time 0.5wte Occupational Therapy Team Lead position within NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde (GGC) based within the West Glasgow community paediatric team. This key role will involve leading, mentoring and supervising a skilled group of therapists and support staff while providing high quality occupational therapy services to children with various developmental and neurodevelopmental needs. You will play a vital role in fostering a collaborative and nurturing environment, ensuring the delivery of evidence-based interventions that promote optimal development and independence in everyday activities.

As an experienced paediatric Occupational Therapist you will demonstrate in-depth practical and theoretical knowledge of clinical governance issues including risk management, evidence based theory and practice, audit and research methodology. You will assist the Service Manager and Occupational Therapy Professional Lead in planning, co-ordinating, delivering and evaluating the Occupational Therapy service for children and young people with physical disabilities, complex needs and neurodevelopmental disorder within health, educational and social settings. You will be responsible for leadership in planning and implementing best practice and evidence-based practice, clinical governance and quality assurance across the designated managed service including dealing with complaints. You will have a clinical caseload and will ensure the delivery of safe, effective patient care for children and young people referred to our service.

Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role is preferred but training and mentoring will be offered. It is essential that you have a degree/diploma in Occupational Therapy and that you are currently registered with the HCPC. Community experience would be beneficial. Car driver is essential.
