This is a genuinely exciting time to join Boston College. We are a forward‑thinking organisation with ambitious plans for the future, and this newly defined role sits at the heart of our Senior Leadership Team. You will have a real and lasting opportunity to shape how we govern, how we grow and how we serve our community.
The Director of Governance will be responsible for ensuring that the Board operates effectively, within its powers, and in full accordance with legal, statutory and regulatory requirements. Working closely with the Chair, Principal and Chief Executive, and Senior Leadership Team, the postholder will provide clear, impartial advice on governance, constitutional, procedural and ethical matters affecting the Board, its committees and subsidiary companies. You will champion transparency, accountability and continuous improvement.
If you are a confident communicator, a strategic thinker and someone who is passionate about the value of great governance, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful difference, from day one.
