The Company - White House Products Ltd was established in 1984. The Role – We are looking for a friendly, approachable person who would fit in with our small engineering team. The responsibilities of the successful candidate will include:
· Working independently and as part of a team on the assembly, repair and manufacture of a wide range of hydraulic pumps, motors, cylinders and valves.
* various aspects of the repair and manufacture of hydraulic cylinders, including turning (CNC and manual operations) and welding.
· Building and testing gear, vane and piston pumps.
· Stripping, diagnosing, repairing and testing various hydraulic components.
Requirements – The successful applicant should:
· Have a general knowledge and experience of basic hand tools.
· Have a keen interest in mechanical components and their workings.
· Be able to use their mechanical knowledge to apply basic principles to parts that may not have been seen before in order to diagnose faults and test.
· Have the ability to learn on the job.
· Be eager to gain experience on manual machining operations (turning, milling and welding etc.)
· Have basic IT skills.
· Be punctual and reliable.
· Mechanical and machining experience would be beneficial however not critical.
· Experience in hydraulics is not essential.
