The Electrical Engineering Professional is responsible for designing, developing, modifying, and evaluating electronic parts, components, or integrated circuitry for electronic equipment and hardware systems.
General Responsibilities
1. Participate in creating designs within interdisciplinary teams to address complex product design and manufacturing challenges.
2. Collaborate on feasibility studies and testing of new and modified designs.
3. Organize development testing, engineering analysis, qualification testing, and production launch.
4. Participate in failure analysis investigations and engineering evaluations.
5. Maintain product documentation, including drawings, specifications, design reports, test reports, operating manuals, and test procedures.
6. Engage with customers to gather product specifications, schedule expectations, and budget in collaboration with senior engineers and managers.
Experience / Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks.
* Strong communication skills (oral, written, presentation).
* Excellent organization, planning, and time management skills.
* High ethical standards and integrity.
* Self-accountability for achieving goals and standards.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills across organizational levels, including with suppliers and external customers.
Additional Responsibilities
As a Test Engineer in the EMC & RF Approvals team, responsibilities include organizing and executing EMC lab activities, maintaining lab equipment, developing lab capabilities, supporting radio certification, archiving reports, interpreting requirements, developing test plans, liaising with customers and test houses, providing EMC design feedback, and supporting RF approvals.
Essential Criteria
* Honours degree in Electrical Engineering.
* Minimum of 2 years in EMC or a similar role.
* Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently.
* Ability to interpret customer and regulatory requirements.
* Good written and oral communication skills.
Desirable Criteria
* Experience with automotive EMC testing methods and procedures.
