The Role:
To Assemble product in accordance with defined build instructions for a variety of major OEM’s in market sectors including Automotive, Clean Energy, Communication & Broadcasting, Consumer, Defence & Aerospace, Homeland Security, IP Development Platforms, Medical, Scientific Research & Space.
Main Responsibilities:
* Assemble product in accordance with IPC-A-610 standards and defined build instructions
* Produce populated PCB assemblies using the SMT line, to timescales and quality levels determined by procedures and customer instructions every time.
* Preparation of stencils and printing equipment
* Completing batches of customer PCB assemblies, in-line inspection of quality and process consistency.
* Ensure all deviations from the standard are clearly documented on build prior to commencement of work
* Ensure defined processes are robust, clear and concise to achieve required standards
* Ensure all processes are stringently adhered to, maintaining a high-quality of work that meets if not exceeds expectation
* Notification to immediate supervision on any job you cannot achieve the quoted build times
Skills and experience:
* Experience in running Pick and Place SMT Machines
* Experience of Pre-kitting of SMT machines
* Ability to program and operate Stencil Printers
* Proficient in load placement program and set value checks for SMT Lines (Europlacer experience an advantage)
* Ability to create/ adjust component packages checks for SMT Lines (Europlacer experience an advantage)
* Carrying out maintenance on SMT line as required
* Maintain TSM and Heller oven
* Control of solder paste
* Handle Moisture sensitive Components
* Certification to IPC-A-610
