JOB OVERVIEW & PURPOSE:
The General Maintenance Operative is responsible for undertaking a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of the premises. You will work as part of a team to carry out planned and reactive maintenance duties, providing excellent customer service and maintaining a professional approach at all times.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Perform routine and reactive maintenance tasks including repairs to building fabric, plumbing, electrical systems, and heating.
* Assist with preventative maintenance schedules.
* Maintain tools and equipment in a safe and serviceable condition.
* Record and report all maintenance activities accurately.
* Follow health and safety regulations and company policies.
* Provide exceptional customer service to visitors and colleagues.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Experience in general maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting skills.
* Relevant trade qualifications or certifications are advantageous.
* Good communication and customer service skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
* Willingness to work flexible hours if required.
* Valid driver's license is a plus.
