We are currently recruiting an experienced SEND Casework Officer to support children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The role involves coordinating statutory assessments and Education, Health and Care (EHC) plans while working closely with schools, families, and multi-agency partners to ensure positive outcomes. Location: Liverpool (Hybrid – minimum 2 days per week on site) Rate: £35.00 per hour (Umbrella) Contract: 3 months + Start: Immediate Key Duties & Responsibilities * Support settings, schools, services and families to apply the graduated approach to meeting the needs of pupils with SEND * Coordinate the statutory assessment process for pupils with SEND, reviewing and monitoring progress against agreed outcomes * Provide advice and guidance to SENCos and Headteachers, developing strong professional relationships with schools and settings * Manage a caseload of children and young people, coordinating the EHC assessment, planning, placement and review process * Ensure all statutory timescales are met in relation to EHC plans * Work closely with internal services including SENISS, Occupational Therapy, Educational Psychology, and external partners such as Health, Children’s and Adult Social Care * Ensure children, young people and their parents/carers are central to all planning and review processes * Attend annual reviews for vulnerable p...
