Dates: Various dates - June - August 2025 Pay: £34 to £55 per hour, depending on experience/average £1100 per course). Pay bands depend on subject knowledge and relevant teaching experience. Accommodation and travel expenses not covered. Working pattern: 18 hrs of seminars, alongside up to 8 hrs of tutorials per 2-week course. Contact time and preparation allowance depend on class size. Age group: 16 - 17 We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced tutors to work with us for the summer at Oxford Summer Courses. You should have: About you Master’s or higher/equivalent degree in Mathematics or a Mathematics-adjacent subject Teaching experience Right to work in the UK (we cannot sponsor work visas for this role) Undergraduate teaching experience Teaching A level or equivalent in a secondary school Y ou may hold, or be working towards your PGCE, QTS, Advance HE fellowship, or another teaching qualification. Y ou will be creating your own syllabus to teach to students, giving you the freedom to design a course to your expertise. You will also set sufficient pre-course work and independent study throughout the course to encourage students to develop their own ideas, including longer tutorial assignments to be marked. You will also support students’ academic development through individual feedback during paired tutorials, informal feedback on other work completed and personalised reports at the end of the course.
