Business Development Manager (SME Sales)

Hybrid – Whiteley + Home | £35k base (£70k OTE)


Are you a relatable, self-starting salesperson who can quickly build trust with owner-managers and clearly demonstrate ROI in simple terms? Maybe you've worked as an SDR, BDR, or BDE and are now ready to step up and make your mark.

We’re building a brand-new SME sales team from the ground up and we’re looking for driven, commercially sharp Business Development Managers to help shape it.

This is a high-impact role where you’ll win new business, close deals fast, and directly drive growth across the UK SME market. You’ll be selling a powerful portfolio of telecoms, connectivity, mobile, and security solutions with the backing of experienced leadership and real earning potential.


What you’ll be doing:

* Manage a mix of inbound leads and proactive cold-calling, with the ability to quickly qualify interest through effective discovery and convert opportunities into revenue
* Identify, prospect, and secure new SME clients within the 20–100 employee segment
* Sell Hosted's portfolio of 3CX hosted telephony solutions, connectivity services (FTTP, leased lines, broadband), business mobile solutions, cyber security and related managed services
* Deliver tailored proposals and presentations to meet client needs
* Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to closing
* Build long-term relationships to support upselling, cross-selling, and account growth
* Maintain accurate CRM records and pipeline forecasts
* Collaborate with technical and provisioning teams to ensure smooth onboarding
* Stay up to date with product knowledge, market trends, and competitor offerings


What we’re looking for:

Essential

* 2+ years in B2B tech/telecoms sales
* A true hunter mindset proactive, driven, and target-focused
* Confident closer who keeps things simple and commercial, without being pushy
* Strong communicator who can translate tech into real business value
* Comfortable working independently
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
* Ability to work independently and in a hybrid environment
* Full clean UK driving license
* Ability to commute to Whiteley, Hampshire

Preferred

* Bachelors Degree
* Knowledge of Telecoms, B2B tech, connectivity, IT services and 3CX would be advantageous
