Job Description
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join a supportive school in Solihull. This role is ideal for a qualified teacher with experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) who is passionate about creating an inclusive learning environment.
The successful candidate will take on the full responsibilities of a classroom teacher, including planning, teaching, marking, and supporting pupils with additional learning needs.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver adapted lessons to meet the needs of pupils with SEN
Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff
Mark and assess pupils' work and monitor progress
Implement individual learning plans (IEPs/EHCP targets) where required
Use a range of differentiated teaching strategies to support learning
Manage behaviour positively and effectively
Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals where appropriate
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
Experience working with SEN pupils in a school setting
Strong understanding of differentiation and inclusive teaching practices
Good classroom management skills
A patient, flexible, and supportive approach to teaching
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
