Our client is seeking a driven and experienced Safety, Health & Environmental Manager to join their team at a pivotal time of growth and transformation. The Opportunity As the on-site SHE subject matter expert, you’ll take the lead on developing and embedding a strong safety culture while ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, coaching and influencing stakeholders at all levels to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence. Your Responsibilities Lead the development and delivery of the site’s SHE strategy, setting clear objectives and driving a culture of safety and accountability. Ensure compliance with all relevant H&S and environmental legislation and standards, including ISO 45001 and ISO 14001. Carry out audits, inspections, and risk assessments, identifying areas for improvement and supporting teams in implementing practical solutions. Deliver engaging and informative training to build SHE capability across the site. Support incident investigations and the implementation of corrective and preventative actions. Liaise with external regulators and bodies to ensure ongoing compliance. Oversee occupational health and hygiene monitoring to support employee wellbeing. What You’ll Bring 3–5 years’ experience in a SHE role within a fast-paced, industrial or manufacturing environment. NEBOSH General Certificate and Environmental Management qualification (e.g. IEMA). In-depth knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards. Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to deliver effective training. Full UK driving licence.
