Job Overview
We’re looking for a Business Support Manager to play a pivotal role at the centre of the Bristol NHS Group, supporting the Group Chief of Staff and working closely with the Group Chief Executive and Executive Team. This high‑profile, trusted role involves leading executive business support, managing governance and priorities, coordinating high‑level meetings and events, and ensuring the smooth running of our corporate headquarters. You will line‑manage a talented team of Executive Assistants and help shape how the executive office operates – setting standards, improving processes and enabling leaders to perform at their best.
Responsibilities
* Coordinating and organising the office of the Group Chief Executive and supporting the Group Chief of Staff to provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support within the Trusts’ corporate head office functions.
* Suggesting ideas for improved efficiency and performance and taking the initiative to implement them.
* Demonstrating diplomacy and confidentiality in all aspects of the role.
* Leading staff in Executive Administration functions, supporting their development and continual learning, and fostering a collaborative, innovative, can‑do culture.
Qualifications
* Essential Criteria
o Education level or equivalent experience
o Relevant business management experience, project management experience, etc.
o In line with Person Specification
* Desirable Criteria
o Project management qualification or experience
o Previous NHS experience and corporate governance experience
