Your purpose will be:

The Spa Receptionist plays a key role in delivering a warm, seamless and luxurious welcome to all guests and members of the Fairmont Spa at Fairmont Cheshire, The Mere. This role ensures every interaction reflects the resort’s high standards of professionalism, consistency, innovation and teamwork, while supporting the smooth operation of the spa’s front‑of‑house environment.


Job Description
1. Deliver a warm, polished and service‑focused welcome to all guests, members and colleagues
2. Maintain full knowledge of spa services, treatments and promotions to confidently support guest enquiries
3. Operate telephones professionally, ensuring all calls are answered promptly with friendly, accurate and helpful responses
4. Manage guest arrivals and departures efficiently, creating a seamless and memorable first and last impression
5. Keep the front‑of‑house area immaculate, tidy and styled to a luxury 5‑star standard at all times
6. Handle guest concerns with genuine care, resolving where possible before escalating to management
7. Complete daily checklists thoroughly and ensure smooth, detailed handovers between shifts
8. Maximise guest value by promoting spa services, treatments and retail opportunities appropriately
9. Provide accurate information and assistance to guests and visitors, ensuring their needs are fully met
10. Follow correct cash‑handling, float and safe procedures in line with company standards
11. Build confidence in the Jonas booking system and use it effectively for reservations and guest management
12. Carry out front‑of‑house administrative tasks with accuracy and attention to detail
13. Support management by undertaking additional duties when required
14. Follow all procedures for accident reporting, maintenance issues, fire safety and emergency evacuation
15. Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations while on the premises
16. Complete all documentation accurately and in accordance with departmental SOPs
17. Maintain the company dress code and consistently present a professional, polished appearance

Qualifications
18. 1–2 years of experience in a spa, hotel or luxury front‑of‑house role (preferred)
19. Strong customer‑service and communication skills
20. Confident, polished and professional telephone manner
21. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
22. Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced, guest‑focused environment
23. Basic IT proficiency, including booking systems and Microsoft Office
24. Experience with spa/booking software (advantageous)
25. Warm, welcoming and service‑driven approach to guest interaction
26. Ability to remain calm and professional when handling guest concerns
27. Strong understanding of luxury service standards and guest expectations
28. Willingness to undertake training and continuous development
