Your New Role
As a maintenance engineer, you will report to the Maintenance Manager and will be responsible for providing engineering support to the production team.
During your shifts, your core duties will include:
1. Carrying out all planned, preventative, and corrective maintenance tasks in accordance with maintenance systems.
2. Investigating, performing root cause analyses, and resolving problems related to machines, as well as supporting process and quality issues.
3. Ensuring all related documentation and record-keeping for your shift are up-to-date.
4. Providing comprehensive breakdown information and actions taken to support the planned maintenance system.
5. Adhering to all Health & Safety guidelines and requirements.
6. Taking ownership of health, safety, and environmental responsibilities within your areas and raising concerns with relevant managers.
What You'll Need To Succeed
To be considered for this role, you should demonstrate the following skills, experience, and qualifications:
Essential:
* Time-served qualification with at least 3 years’ experience in a maintenance engineering role.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Good working knowledge of pneumatic and electrical control systems.
* Experience with product transfer systems, including elevators, drag-chain, and auger feed systems.
* Experience in troubleshooting and fault-finding.
Desirable:
* Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering.
* Forklift license.
Disposition:
* Highly motivated with excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Practical, logical problem-solving approach with attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Circumstances:
* Flexible and adaptable.
* Good attendance and punctuality record.
* Full driving license and access to a car.
* Willing to travel to various sites.
