Our client is a well established service sector business and they are now looking for a Finance Manager / Company Accountant to lead and manage the financial operations, ensuring the delivery of accurate, timely, and insightful financial information.\n\nThis role involves full ownership of the accounts function, supporting strategic decision making through robust financial reporting and analysis, and playing a vital role in the company’s growth. Main duties include:\n\n * Financial Operations & Bookkeeping: bank reconciliations, control of sales and purchase ledger, managing accruals and prepayments, overseeing month-end processes.\n\n * Regulatory Compliance: administering payroll, managing VAT returns, handling Companies House submissions, leading the preparation of draft statutory accounts.\n\n * Cashflow Management: maintaining and circulating weekly cashflow reports, credit control, managing supplier payment runs.\n\n * Management Support: preparation of monthly management accounts, delivering detailed financial analysis and executive summaries, updating the management accounts pack, integrating non-financial KPIs into reporting.\n\n * Budgeting & Forecasting: supporting development of the annual budget, providing monthly budget reports and cashflow projections, producing quarterly forecasts.\n\n * Continuous Improvement: ensuring compliance with financial policies and legislative requirements, identifying and implementing improvements to financial processes, simplifying accounting and reporting\n\nIdeal candidates will have experience producing management and statutory accounts, experience of producing and monitoring budgets/forecasts and general SME financial management experience.
