Assistant/Associate Professor (34590-0825)
We are inviting applications for the post of Assistant or Associate Professor to start in September 2026. We are open to all areas of pure and applied mathematics; those working in applied areas with real-world applications are particularly encouraged to apply.
About The Role
Associate Professorships are permanent appointments and usually for those with a well-established research track record and significant lecturing experience. Assistant level appointments include a five-year probationary period to enable promotion to Associate Professor.
About You
All applicants should hold a PhD and have demonstrated excellence and independence in research, along with an ability to teach effectively. We aim to appoint someone who can contribute to both research and teaching and engage with our departmental culture.
About The Department
The Warwick Mathematics Institute is internationally recognised for its research. We run weekly seminars, workshops, and conferences supported by our Mathematics Research Centre. Staff and research interests can be found at the department website. Undergraduate module information is available on our site.
We are committed to inclusivity and welcome applications from groups under-represented in UK mathematics. We hold Athena Swan awards and have an Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion committee guiding departmental policy. The University offers relocation and immigration support where applicable.
