PROCUREMENT MANAGER (12-month FTC) – PRESTIGIOUS FTSE 100 – HERTFORDSHIRE – up to £65,000 + PACKAGE
This prestigious £Multi-Billion FTSE 100 Firm is enjoying rapid global expansion and is pouring investment into an already award-winning best-in-class Sourcing Hub. As a result, the Firm has created a new position for an ambitious Procurement Manager on an initial 12-month fixed term contract to join their journey. The initial contract length is likely to be extended and even made permanent.
Besides adding a shining brand to your CV, you will enjoy having genuine autonomy to create innovative strategies from scratch as well as receiving one-to-one support from the Global Head of Procurement.
This unique opportunity will look at candidates coming from either a Directs or Indirect Category background.
Despite being a well-established blue-chip firm with offices across Europe, USA, Asia and Australasia, the Procurement function is relatively immature so there will be huge scope to influence category strategy for their global functions.

Required experience, skills & qualifications: -
* High energy and charisma, with proven ability to influence stakeholders
* Strong knowledge of the cradle to grave procurement process (RFP / RFQ, contract negotiation, stakeholder management, supplier relationship management etc)
* Degree from a leading institution
* Strong knowledge of procurement / sourcing / supplier contracts, with significant experience of contract drafting and skillful negotiation
* The ability to operate in a commercially savvy and highly intelligent environment, being credible and authoritative with senior stakeholders and legal experts
The reason the role is a FTC is the quickest way to the market for this firm, so for high performers there will be opportunity for the role to be extended or made permanent.
