Reporting To: General Counsel
Responsibilities
* Advise the Group on legal matters, with a particular emphasis on commercial contracts.
* Engage with the business units and group support functions to build credibility and trust, whilst supporting them in addressing legal implications and compliance issues.
* Negotiate and draft a wide range of commercial contracts and NDAs.
* Support with Company Secretarial matters including managing the group structure, statutory filing, investor and board support.
* Support the General Counsel with ensuring GDPR / Privacy law compliance and ad‑hoc projects.
* Assist with the management of IP, domains and trademark registrations of the Group as well as addressing any related contentious issues as they arise.
* Support the General Counsel on resolving legal issues that face the business from time to time.
* General legal research and legal administrative duties as required.
* Mitigate legal risk across the Group through clear, commercially balanced advice.
* Take a pragmatic, solutions‑focused approach to resolving legal issues.
* Confidently challenge and influence stakeholders on legal and commercial risk.
* Produce clear, robust contracts with appropriate protections for the business.
* Demonstrate strong commercial awareness, considering wider business impact.
* Build credible, trusted relationships across the Group.
* Effectively manage a high‑volume workload, prioritising and meeting deadlines.
* Communicate clearly and effectively with a range of stakeholders.
* Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Qualifications
* Qualified solicitor with experience in commercial law (minimum 3 years PQE).
* Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
* Ability to provide clear, pragmatic, and commercially focused legal advice.
* Confident building relationships and influencing stakeholders across the business.
* Strong understanding of legal risk and how to balance this with business objectives.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex legal matters.
* Highly organised, with the ability to manage a varied workload and competing priorities.
* Strong attention to detail and a proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset.
* Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
