Reed Education is working in partnership with a respected secondary school in Scunthorpe to recruit a Teacher of English for a September 2026 start. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and committed teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking English department.
Your Responsibilities
As a Teacher of English, you will:
* Teach engaging and well-structured English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
* Plan lessons that meet curriculum requirements and support differentiated learning
* Track, assess, and report on student progress effectively
* Create a safe, positive and inclusive classroom environment
* Support the wider life of the school through enrichment and extracurricular activities
Person Specification
We are keen to hear from candidates who have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* A degree in English or a related discipline
* Experience teaching English at secondary level
* Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
* A clear commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
