Pertemps are seeking a dedicated and responsible 7.5-ton Driver to join our client in Edinburgh. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and pleasant environment for our residents and visitors by supporting cleansing services across the area.
Location: Edinburgh West
Hours of Work: 4 on 4 off shift pattern, 06.00-17.02 with 45min break
Rate of Pay: £14.02 per hour rising to £15.68 as of week 13

Key Responsibilities:
* Safely operate 7.5-ton vehicles as part of the street cleansing service.
* Adhere to designated routes and schedules to ensure timely completion of collections.
* Perform vehicle checks, report any faults or maintenance needs, and ensure the cleanliness of the vehicle.
* Assist the cleansing crew with loading, unloading, and managing waste when necessary.
* Engage courteously with the public when required, representing the department in a professional manner.
* Follow all safety guidelines and operational procedures to maintain high standards of service.
What We're Looking For:
* Valid UK driving license with C1 category (7.5-ton vehicle) along with valid CPC qualification card and Tacho card.
* Previous experience in driving large vehicles
* A good understanding of health and safety practices relevant to vehicle operation.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
* Physical fitness - the role requires manual handling and assisting with lifting and moving heavy objects
