Purpose of the Role
To ensure a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for staff, students, and visitors. The role may involve working across multiple sites as required. Use of a personal vehicle and a D1 driving licence would be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintain buildings and grounds to a high standard, ensuring they are safe, clean, and ready for use
2. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
3. Support site security, including locking/unlocking, alarm setting, and occasional emergency call-outs
4. Carry out general maintenance, repairs, and minor improvement works
5. Assist with ordering materials and liaising with suppliers where required
6. Coordinate access for external contractors and monitor progress of works
7. Move and set up furniture and equipment as needed
8. Receive, handle, and distribute deliveries across the site
9. Conduct routine checks of fire safety equipment, emergency lighting, and alarms
