We are excited to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing business based in Grantham. They are looking for a confident and hands-on Shift Team Leader to take ownership of daily production performance and drive team success.
This is a temporary to permanent opportunity, offering long-term career prospects for the right person.
The Role
1. Coordinating teams, balancing workloads, solving problems on the go, and ensuring daily targets are achieved safely and efficiently.
2. Working closely with senior operations management, you’ll play a key role in keeping standards high, productivity strong, and teams motivated.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday
6:00am-2:30pm and 2:30pm-11:00pm- rotating weekly
Occasional Saturday work during busy periods
What You’ll Be Doing
3. Leading and motivating teams within a busy production setting
4. Organising staffing and workflow to achieve daily output targets
5. Monitoring performance and adjusting resources where needed
6. Collaborating with fellow team leaders to maintain smooth operations
7. Reporting equipment issues or downtime promptly
8. Carrying out quality checks to maintain high standards
9. Championing health and safety best practice at all times
10. Monitoring attendance, timekeeping, and team productivity
11. Completing shift reports and production documentation
12. Supporting training and development of team members
13. Identifying improvement opportunities and driving efficiencies
14. Assisting with resolving operational or customer-related issues
15. Ensuring work areas are organised, clean, and ready for each shift
What We’re Looking For
16. Previous supervisory experience in manufacturing, production, food processing, or similar environments
17. A confident leader who can engage and motivate teams
18. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
19. Comfortable working to targets and performance metrics
20. Solid understanding of workplace health and safety
21. Good numeracy skills for reporting and production tracking
Desirable:
22. IOSH Working Safely qualification
23. First Aid certification
