We are seeking a motivated and learner‑focused Plumbing and Heating Lecturer to join our college team. You will teach across a range of Plumbing and Heating programmes, delivering knowledge, building skills, and creating inclusive learning experiences. What you’ll do:
Plan and deliver learning
* Design and deliver inclusive, high‑quality lessons in theory and practice.
* Create engaging learning materials tailored to diverse learner needs.
* Provide clear, constructive feedback to support learner progress and achievement.
Support learner development
* Guide academic and personal development through tutorials and pastoral care.
* Maintain accurate records of learner progress and engagement.
* Keep course content current and aligned with industry standards.
* Contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance processes.
Collaborate and uphold standards
* Work with colleagues and external partners to enrich the learner experience.
* Promote and uphold safeguarding, equality, and health and safety policies.
What we’re looking for
Requirements
* A relevant plumbing and heating subject qualification at level 3 or above.
* A recognised teaching qualification at level 5 or above.
* Level 2 English and Maths (e.g. GCSE grade C/4 or equivalent).
* The ability to plan and deliver effective, inclusive teaching for diverse learners.
* Knowledge of subject‑specific pedagogy and current teaching practices in further or higher education.
* Clear communication and strong organisational skills.
* Confidence using digital tools to support learning.
* A commitment to safeguarding, equality, and ongoing professional development.
Additional responsibilities
The plumbing, heating and gas curriculum requires a tutor who can, together with our plumbing and gas specialists, deliver full‑time courses from L1 to L3 programmes of study and apprenticeships. You will have a strong background in industry and a thorough understanding of quality teaching and learning.
