The Role – Claims Handler
Our Claims team at PIB Insurance Brokers in Leeds are looking for an experienced Cross-Claims Handler to join their team in providing top‑class service to all clients.

What You’ll Be Doing
* Managing the end‑to‑end claims process, from initial notification and investigation through to fair settlement, in line with policy terms and company guidelines.
* Communicating clearly with customers and other parties, providing updates, resolving queries, and delivering a high standard of service.
* Maintaining accurate documentation and reporting, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal standards, including fraud identification and data protection.
* Liaising with third parties and experts as needed to assess losses and negotiate timely, appropriate settlements.
What We’re Looking For
* Robust experience in managing complex cross‑class claims, with strong technical and analytical skills, and solid knowledge of the insurance market, policy terms and coverage.
* Holding relevant professional qualifications (e.g. CII), or working towards this, is highly desirable.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer‑focused approach and the ability to build rapport with stakeholders and seek guidance from senior colleagues when needed.
* High attention to detail, discretion with sensitive information, and the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
What You'll Get
* A salary package of around £35,500 per annum, depending on experience.
