About therole:
Our Senior CloudDelivery Managers are accountable for the delivery strategy teamproductivity quality and successful delivery of complex AWSplatform and landing zone initiativesestablishing efficientprocesses and unblocking issues for theteam.
Responsibilities:
* Provideleadership and mentoring to the AWS platform engineeringsecurityand architectureteams championing agile/engineering bestpractice
* Ensure the team is effectivelyresourced that a positive team culture is established and strive tobuild a collaborative highperforming team
* Workclosely with the Cloud Platform Leads to ensure the vision andstrategy is documented and clearly communicated including anarticulation of the steps/stages needed to achieve the endgoal
* Establish and lead team governanceincluding regular retrospectives embed a culture of continuousimprovement and automation
* Utilise Jira andConfluence to structure daily work and establish delivery metricswhich enable data driven decision making drive accurate deliverydates and highlight areas for productivityimprovement
* Produce and maintain team statusreports including risks issues dependencies items for escalationand an accurate roadmap
* Become the go to personfor any information about the team
* Work withother Delivery Leads to establish a common consistent DeliveryMethod and approach across the organisation sharing best practiceand positive ways of working
KeyExperience:
* Experience of having runAWS transformations including experience with AWS landingzones/multiaccount infrastructure
* Hands onexperience of working with key AWSservices
* Knowledgeable about the key securityrisks that are present when using AWS and how these can beprevented detected and remediated
* Previousexperience leading agile delivery teams consisting of multiplescrum teams/squads within a largescale agile delivery programmemanaging all aspects of the software delivery lifecycle to buildrelease and support world class cloudplatforms
* Demonstrable understanding of theagile delivery process and the nuances of using agile atscale
* Experience of progressing work from abusiness idea through to a fully supported highquality solutionrunning within a cloudenvironment
* Understanding of continuousdelivery/integration and continuousimprovement
* Expert on the latest engineeringpractices and delivery methods covering all aspects of the softwaredelivery lifecycle. Familiar with scrum Kanban andlean
* Proven leader with demonstrable experienceof building highly productive teams
* Understandsthe key metrics which should be captured and reviewed to driveproductivity and quality within the deliveryteams
