Psychology Graduate - Primary SEN
£92.56 - £110.00 per day (depending on experience and qualifications) — 8:30am - 3:30pm, term‑time only. Start September 2026. Location: Oldham.
Are you a Psychology graduate looking to gain meaningful, hands‑on experience before progressing into Educational Psychology, teaching or child mental health? We're working with a Trust in Oldham who are looking for Psychology graduates to join them from September 2026. The schools have supportive SLT and are keen to help graduates establish careers in teaching or Educational Psychology. You'll be supporting children with additional needs, including autism, ADHD and SEMH, with some pupils presenting behavioural challenges. This is a fantastic opportunity to build resilience and gain experience that genuinely stands out. It will help graduate scheme applications!
Responsibilities
* Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis.
* Helping children manage behaviour and regulate emotions.
* Working closely with teachers and the SENCO.
* Creating a calm, consistent and supportive environment.
What you’ll gain

* A solid foundation for Educational Psychology or teaching.
Requirements
* Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available).
* A 2:1 or above in a Psychology‑related degree.
* Recent experience working with children (e.g. tutoring, coaching, childcare).
* A confident, resilient and engaging personality.
* Based in or near Oldham.
* An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
* Access to a car is beneficial.
The successful candidate will have a responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people, in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) guidelines. An enhanced DBS check will be required as part of our commitment to ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all.
