Wakefield Safeguarding Children Partnership (WSCP) Business Unit are looking to recruit a Quality, Policy and Development Officer, to lead on some of the key responsibilities the partnership is required to deliver.
The tasks the Quality, Policy and Development Officer, will be required to undertake include, but are not exclusive to:
1. Lead on the development of policies and procedures of WSCP to ensure these reflect current legislation and best practice
2. Lead on the delivery of multi-agency quality assurance activity, ensuring there is a clear alignment with continuous improvement as described within the
3. Lead on the provision and interpretation of data to support multi-agency and single-agency improvement
4. Organise the some of the key business of the partnership and relevant sub-groups, including the Safeguarding Effectiveness Group and the Multi-Agency Child Exploitation Group, on behalf of the WSCP in order to meet national and local requirements
5. Provide deputy support as required for the WSCP Manager at Executive Meetings and any Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews or Rapid Reviews
6. Provide line management of the WSCP Learning & Development Officer
We are looking for someone who is confident and enthusiastic, with experience of working within safeguarding and child protection roles.
The successful candidate will need to have an understanding of the key statutory guidance and legislation relating to safeguarding and child protection, excellent communication skills and experience of working with management information to support multi-agency and single-agency development.
