A leading global multi-strategy hedge fund is looking to hire a senior Risk Technology Lead into its London office.
This is a high-impact front-office engineering role focused on the evolution of a business-critical cross-asset risk platform supporting trading, portfolio construction, and real-time risk decision-making.
The role sits directly between Risk, Trading, Quant, and Engineering, with significant ownership over platform architecture, engineering direction, and delivery.
The firm is open to:

Key areas include:
• Real-time risk analytics
• PnL & sensitivities
• Stress testing & scenario infrastructure
• Risk platform architecture
• High-performance Java systems
• Distributed risk infrastructure
• Cross-asset risk tooling
You will:
• Partner directly with PMs, traders, quants, and risk managers
• Drive architectural decisions across the risk stack
• Help shape the long-term evolution of the platform
• Remain technically involved in key engineering decisions and critical components
• Work within a lean, highly collaborative engineering culture with minimal bureaucracy
Ideal backgrounds include:
• Hedge funds
• Prop trading firms
• Tier 1 investment banks
• Electronic trading firms
Strong fit for candidates with experience across:
market risk, counterparty risk, VaR/stress testing, pricing/risk engines, real-time analytics, or front-office risk systems.
Strong Java engineering capability is important. Leadership experience is beneficial but not essential for highly senior IC candidates.
