Your impact
As the largest consultancy operating in flood risk management and river engineering in the UK, we are committed to collaborative client relationships and delivering high quality, innovative, sustainable solutions.
Remit of your role will include
* Lead multi-disciplinary teams to develop high quality, sustainable flood risk management solutions
* Tackle challenging engineering problems to find affordable, sustainable solutions while adhering to all design quality assurance standards
* Mitigate environmental impact at the outset to provide integrated design solutions
* Address climate change increases in flood risk and push down cost and carbon footprint
* Contribute to a collaborative delivery approach, supporting clients with stakeholder engagement (public, flood risk management authorities)
* Take an active role in mentoring and professional development of team members
* Develop technical scopes, support programme and budget setting, and obtain approvals
* Understand, communicate, manage and mitigate project risk
Qualifications
* BEng/MEng in Civil Engineering
* Chartered (ICE, CIWEM or similar)
* Experience leading design delivery, including multidisciplinary design and design & build
* Knowledge of current UK design standards, guidance and working practices
* Expertise in delivering traditional engineering and environmentally focused solutions
* Excellent commercial, contractual and programme experience
* Proven experience mentoring and developing colleagues and peers
