Location: Covering the Midlands region, including Northampton and surrounding areas, with flexibility on base location

About the Role
As our Operations Director, you’ll work alongside senior management to ensure the success of our Midlands operations. This role involves end-to-end accountability for regional sales, financial performance, and health & safety compliance across multiple contracts and projects. Working closely with the Operations Managers under your remit, you’ll drive performance to achieve ambitious financial targets, maintain first-class service delivery, and develop high-value client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive strategic leadership by developing regional business plans with support teams, ensuring alignment with broader company goals
* Oversee financial performance, meeting or exceeding budgeted targets and closely monitoring contract budgets for financial health
* Lead team development by mentoring Operations Managers and direct reports, fostering a culture of respect, engagement, and continuous improvement
* Ensure health & safety compliance, upholding our management system and spearheading initiatives to enhance safety practices across the team
Requirements
* Proven leadership experience at director level, with a successful track record in managing operations across multiple locations
* Strong financial acumen, including experience overseeing revenues exceeding £5 million and ensuring robust budget management
* Exceptional client relationship management skills, with strengths in contract retention and business development
* Highly analytical and safety-focused, with strong numeracy, IT proficiency (Excel and Word), and a commitment to compliance
* Ideally brings experience within the construction, facilities maintenance, or outdoor services sectors
