Behaviour & SEMH Support Assistant – Primary (Burscough, L40)

Teaching Personnel are seeking a confident, calm and resilient Behaviour & SEMH Support Assistant to support pupils across a welcoming primary school in Burscough (L40). There is ongoing high demand in the area for staff who can support pupils with behaviour, emotional regulation, and additional learning needs.

⭐ What You’ll Be Doing
* Delivering 1:1 and small‑group SEMH and behaviour interventions.
* Supporting pupils with ASC, ADHD, communication differences or attachment needs, adapting approaches to individual needs.
* Using de‑escalation, restorative approaches, and consistent structure to promote positive routines.
* Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and pastoral team to create a calm, safe learning environment.

✔️ Essential Requirements (Non‑negotiable)
To be considered for this role, candidates MUST have:
Qualifications, experience, or both
* Experience supporting SEMH, behaviour, pastoral, or SEN needs (school or youth‑based).
* OR a relevant qualification in education, childcare, youth work, psychology, or similar.
A valid, up‑to‑date CV
